Birthday Cards
The Publications Office has a stack of premade birthday cards in the metal cabinets. If you need to make some more follow the following workflow:
Choose the ship photo you wish to print. A collection of Ship photos are on the NAS server, under the 'public' folder.
Once you have selected the ship photo you want to print, double click on the image to open it in the Preview software
Open the print preview window
Change the printer to the Epson printer
If the image is already doubled, click print. If the image isn't already doubled, turn copies per page to 2, like below:
Click print
Cut the prints out and glue the photo into a piece of cardboard, which is located in the Publications Office
Being EXTRA
If you wish to make a birthday card that is more personalized, we have a set of gold foil in the Imaging Office.
Design in Illustrator what you wish to be printed in foil. Note, foil printing works best with just black ink.
Print the design on one of the laserjet printers onto card stock (found in the Publications Office)
Turn on the t-shirt heat press and let it reach temperature, ~375°F
Cover the design with a piece of foil
Place the design under the heat press with a sheet of non stick paper between the press and foil
Press for no more 15 seconds
Remove the design and let it cool down
Peel of the foil
