Brad also mentioned that you asked about standards and acceptance testing. David said that his acceptance standards are that the instrument be able to consistently (under average sea conditions) image up to 2000-3000x (and do EDS at those conditions), and there is ongoing troubleshooting with the engineers to try to increase the instrument stabilization such that 10-15000x (or Hitachi equivalent) hopefully becomes an average capability. Would love to keep you involved in this ongoing conversation. For now, you can verify image quality by comparing images using the microscope standard stub (the little balls) and comparing them to the images we took last cruise (in C:\\SEM\Luan Test).Â
