Zeiss Petrographic Microscope

Jan 23, 2022 Light source overheated and burned electrical components.  Bulb did not burn out.  Imaging specialist replaced light source with a different one.  Keep voltage box and rear of microscope free of obstructions to avoid overheating.  Do not leave light turned on for extensive periods of time.  Do not turn the voltage all the way up to it's highest setting- only turn to what is necessary.
