Dec 30, 2021 Schlumberger engineer Clay Furman 3D printed a new screw cap for the oil chamber.  The old one was brittle and breaking apart, original cap saved in plastic bag incase it is needed in the future.  File for the print is on the 3D printer.  Best to use a 14mm socket to remove and tighten the cap, using a flathead screw driver will damage the plastic over time.

Dec 29, 2021 Changed oil.  Note there are 1 and a half bottles of Edwards vacuum pump oil in the shop that have an old design but are the same type of oil.  Use the old ones first. Tons of debris flushed out of the pump.  I used an entire bottle of oil just to clean and flush out the unit.  We need to design a better fluid trap than the one on the wall, this one does not seem to work.
